Who Are We?

Chillicothe Civic Theatre (CCT), a non-profit organization, was founded on December 11, 1968 for the purpose of serving as a center for persons interested in any phase of theatrical activity, whereby they might advance their knowledge and skills and contribute to the recreational, educational and cultural enrichment of the community.

If you have any interest in the theatre, whether it be on stage or behind the scenes, you can indulge yourself with CCT. New faces are the hallmark of a vibrant theatre oganization. We'd love to see yours beside ours!

Where are we located?

Chillicothe Civic Theatre is based in Chillicothe, Ohio, a city in south-central Ohio about 45 minutes due south of Columbus, the state Capital. Board meetings are normally held the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM at our new home in the St. Peter's Church School on W. Water St. We also maintain our rehearsal space, costumes, and properties at that location, and will produce many of our shows there.

2nd Annual Awards Dinner

Our Awards Dinner has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 24th at 6:30 PM. It will be held at Tyler Memorial Church in the basement hall. Invitations will be going out soon to all current members of CCT.

As we did last year, we will have our dinner Carry-In style. CCT will be providing Fried Chicken, drinks (soda, coffee, tea), plates and utensils. Attendees will be asked to bring a covered dish, something to share. If you'd like something else to drink other than what we offer, please bring that as well. This is a family event at a church, so please, no alcohol. We had a great time last year and anticipate another this year.

The People's Choice Awards will be presented for all 6 of our shows this year, including the 2 Children's productions. We will also present the Bob Placier Service Award.

Input your name, number in your party, and what you'll be bringing. There's also a link so that you can view the list of who has already signed up and what they'll be bringing to help you plan. :-)

Curtain Going Up!

Auditions Scheduled

Auditions for our 1st show of the 2012 Season have been set. Tim Kennard is directing

Thursday, February 2nd, 6 PM to 8 PM

Saturday, February 4th, from 10 AM to 2 PM

at St. Peter's Church Auxiliary Hall on W. Water St., just behind the church. Enter through the side door between the buildings. Go up 1 flight of stairs and enter the double doors on your right.

2012 Board Elections Held

At our Annual Membership Meeting, held on Sunday, Nov. 27th at 7:00 PM, our Board for calendar year 2012 was elected. Most of the current Board was re-elected to another term. The following are the changes only:

Corresponding Secretary - Connie Senter

Three-Year Trustee - Amanda Betz

Two-Year Trustee - Nancy Schaffer

One-Year Trustee - Beth Tuccinardi

Amanda Betz will also be assisting Connie Senter with her secretarial duties.
